Justin Ellis trained at Clifford Chance, qualifying in 1995 into the firm’s Technology Group. From there he joined DMH Stallard in 1998, where he helped to develop the firm’s Technology and Media Group, and was head of the firm’s Commercial Group. He was then one of the co-founders of iLaw in 2006. Justin’s specialist areas of practice include:

Justin is a member of the International Bar Association, sitting on its Closely Held Companies Committee. He has also previously been a partner in a cyber-security business.

Justin speaks Italian, Spanish and French, and lives in Sussex. He has published a novel, Death by the Arno, and has sung in Mozart’s Requiem in both The Royal Albert Hall and St Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna. He is also a local Pétanque Champion.

In 2019 Justin was appointed a trustee of the British Spanish Society, a charity whose object is to promote friendship and understanding between the people of Britain and Spain. The Society has around 1,000 members and administers in excess of £30,000 of scholarships annually.
