Mariya joined iLaw in September 2019. She holds a law degree from Queen Mary University of London and completed the LPC with Distinction at BPP University in London. Mariya also holds a Master's degree in Commercial Legal Practice with Distinction.
Before joining iLaw, Mariya gained experience at several leading international law firms. She has worked on two of the Lawyer magazine’s biggest disputes in the UK courts for 2017 and 2019: a £700 million Libor-rigging dispute and a US$1 billion+ claim concerning the sale of one of Ukraine’s largest industrial corporations. She has also previously contributed articles to an online arbitration journal. Her interests focus on commercial litigation, fraud disputes, international arbitration and CIS-related matters.
Mariya speaks Bulgarian, English and Russian and is a member of ICC YAF, RCAN, YFLA and YIAG.
