Reinhard Schu
Reinhard joined iLaw from Morrison & Foerster, where he was a senior associate in the firm’s London technology group. Reinhard is a dual qualified solicitor and German lawyer. He specialises in corporate/commercial work with a focus on the technology sector.
Technology
Reinhard advises clients on all commercial, transactional and regulatory matters in the technology sector, including:
• Outsourcing, BPO, and other sourcing transactions
• Technology procurement
• Software and licensing of other IP
• Service agreements
• System implementations
• Distribution arrangements
• Media content licenses or syndication
• Regulatory issues, such as data protection, data retention, WEEE/RoHS
• Telecoms and media regulatory issues.
Reinhard also advises the public sector on major IT and telecoms procurements. For example, Reinhard advised the National Police Improvement Agency on a £130m public procurement contract with O2 Airwave to enable coverage for police Radios on the London Underground and on a procurement by the Department for Work and Pensions awarded to BT Syntegra to roll out modern communication IT integration infrastructure to the Department's contact centres.
Corporate
Reinhard also has extensive corporate experience and advises clients on all aspects of corporate and commercial law, including:
• Corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions
• Joint ventures, strategic investments, venture captial
• AIM and OFEX listings
• General corporate and secretarial services.
For example, in 2007 Reinhard advised TDK Corporation on all European aspects of its $300m sale to Imation Corp. of the TDK Brand Recording Media Business.
