Bobby Gill
Bobby is regarded as one of the leading technology lawyers in the UK. During his career he has advised on over 100 technology transactions with combined deal values in excess of £10 billion.
Bobby was formerly a partner in the commercial department of Osborne Clarke, London and headed up its outsourcing and technology group. He left Osborne Clarke to set up iLaw.
Bobby specialises in large scale, complex technology transactions, including outsourcing, technology procurement, and business-critical IT and telecoms implementations. He also handles software licensing for vendors and purchasers, and strategic contracts such as CRM and ERP system procurement, joint ventures and other alliances.
Bobby has represented FTSE 250 companies, financial institutions, retailers, utilities, manufacturers, as well as technology start-ups.
In 2005, Bobby was on secondment to the legal team of Vodafone Group and ran a team of senior and mid level lawyers. Whilst at Vodafone, Bobby advised on complex technology transactions involving some of the world's leading technology companies.
Other examples of Bobby's recent experience includes advising a major US software supplier in its role as technology provider under the national programme for IT for the National Health Service, which was regarded as the world's biggest outsourcing transaction.
Bobby also advises on more general corporate/commercial issues, such as commercial agreements, shareholder/investment agreements and intellectual property.
Prior to joining Osborne Clarke in 2001, Bobby practised with Allen & Overy, London and the leading Australian law firm, Mallesons Stephen Jaques.
Bobby has lectured in the UK and at various conferences throughout the world on issues associated with technology procurement and outsourcing.
Bobby is married and lives in Surrey. His interests include hiking, scuba diving, and running.
